Glennon could have been pulled after the Bears’ third offensive possession of the day resulted in their his third offensive turnover. (That doesn’t count the muffed punt by Tarik Cohen, just to show how contagious it was.) This one was Glennon’s second interception, telegraphed right to Robert McClain and returned 47 yards for a touchdown to put the Bucs ahead 23-0.
But give him the benefit of the doubt and fight off the knee-jerk reaction, right?
Lacy is currently 245 and has yet to lose any money because of his weight this year, but people still go out of their way to call him lazy and overweight. After getting scratched for the Seahawks’ Week 2 matchup with the 49ers, one comment in particular stuck out
Lacy was never called lazy and fat when he was running over defenders in high school in Louisiana. He wasn’t called out when Alabama won a national title, and fans loved him in his first two years with Green Bay, but now he has become the butt of jokes. He’s a meme on Twitter that keeps getting circulated while he is just another person that struggles with his weight. One third of America struggles with obesity, and Lacy is just another person fighting that fight.
Sometimes I wish I was a person with high metabolism who could just eat whatever they want and can’t gain a pound, Lacy said. You’ve got certain teammates who are like, ‘Man, it don’t matter what I eat, I can’t gain weight.’ And I’m like, ‘It don’t matter what kind of diet I’m on, it’s super hard for me to lose weight, and it’s so easy for me to put it back on.’
